One thing I enjoy the most about blogging is to read all the sweet comments on my blog and emails in the morning.  It is more like opening presents in the holiday season, always full of joy and surprise!  I’m so grateful!  Thank you, guys! I am so sorry if I haven’t replied to every one of your comments/email, but I do read them all and remember those happy moments you have brought to me.

The other day I read an email from Cara, who said she has been huge fan of my blog for some time now and introduced me to a designer/mom/businesswoman named Amber Patton.  Reading Patton’s story really impressed me: before she attended prestigious design schools to hone her craft, she learned to sew at home with her mother, from a fitness model to working in retail and beauty, along with travels to many countries of the world as a flight attendant, Patton’s collection recalls the classic and sophisticated style of the world’s most iconic women, with feminine details, masculine simplicity and impeccable quality.

 

You know, I have many friends say to me that I shouldn’t waste my business/creative mind by not doing any business right now except being a mom and wife. But I do have my dream, though, like creating my own brand, starting to design clothing/shoes/bag.  On the other hand I have so many reasons that I can’t do it now, like I don’t have any skill for it and I didn’t take any lessons at all, and I am not talent enough, and the time is always a big issue. So for me, I really admire women who can take care of their family at the same time chasing their own dream and make it come true. Mrs. Patton sure is one of them!

When I saw the Amber Patton’s collection here, I can’t help but want to get my hands on this Sophia old Hollywood dress; it looks timeless, feminine, and seductive which I really need in my closet right now. The moment when I wear it, I found the confident yet beautiful part inside myself. It’s like an elegant attitude, a classic style in life.

A dress is like a book, too.  People see you through this book, and you write your own story. I learned my story through this dress, never stop your dream and working hard on it.
