When I do make-up, I always prefer a minimalist approach. Don’t get me wrong, I am just not skilled enough to do “too much” make up, ha-ha! . . . And I even go lighter with skin-care and make-up in the summer. Instead of covering up face spots, lines, and wrinkles, I believe in eating healthy and right, and letting the natural inner body show off it’s work as much as possible. BTW, according on my doctor, ALL my blood test data are “fantastic” — that’s one thing I give congrats to myself.
I might write another story about my daily health routine (work-out and diet), but today I want to talk about 11 beauty products I am living in this Summer.
1. 111SKIN Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Booster . I was given this as a sample, and that was my first time trying this brand. I use it at night before bed, and I am very impressed to see how my skin looks so moist and glowing the next morning. Based on results, I am really sold on this product, and I will be getting more on my own.
2. ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation. “An award-winning tinted serum with light, dewy coverage, mineral SPF, and active levels of skincare ingredients.” That is how the company describes this product. I like everything about the way this product describes itself. I put it on every morning after I wash my face and put on all the skin-care. I even wear it in the gym — I just like to look at myself in the mirror after applying it, looking fresh and glowing.
3. Thrive Mascara Liquid Long Lash Waterproof Brynn Rich Black. My husband bought this for me, and I still don’t know why, ha-ha-ha . . . But I was very impressed the first time I used it — very lengthening, and doesn’t smudge or run even when I dance in the gym. And it’s very easy to wash clean after. I told my husband all of that, and he is very proud of his purchase.
4. HAUS LABORATORIES by Lady Gaga: LIQUID EYE-LIE-NER . After a while of eye-liner love from the Sephora brand, I decided to try some other brands; found this one, and so happy with the result. It easy to apply and doesn’t smudge, and it lasts longer than all of my other eye-liners.
5. Style Edit Root Concealer. It’s expensive compare to other root touch-up products, but I have tried many of them, and this one seems to just blend into my roots and looks the most natural.
6. Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette. It has all the colors I love from a day look to a night look, and I especially love the attached brush– it’s a must!
7. ILIA Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment. It’s so small, just finger-sized, the perfect size to carry everywhere, and it can be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips — so smooth and never dries my lips — have to have it!
8. KIEHL’S SINCE 1851 Super Multi-Corrective Anti-Aging Face & Neck Cream. Different people have with different skin types; but for me, this cream has the right amount of moisturizers that I need for the summer, not too heavy, and it doesn’t feel oily or greasy at all.
9. Charlotte Tilbury SUPERSTAR LIPS. My everyday use lip colors: glossy, moist, and last all day!
10. By Terry Tool-Expert Dual Liquid & Powder Brush. Most of the time I use my fingers to apply products on my face, except for powder, so I don’t own many brushes. This one actually was a gift, and I have been loving it since I received it.
11. By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder. And since I mentioned powder above, I want to share my favorite powder as well. It’s so light and finely milled, it looks invisible and feels completely weightless, yet my face feels so smooth after I apply it. I shouldn’t, but I even like to touch my face after using this.
