There are some things I think that are common to our new immigrants — it is NOT easy to move your life to a different country, but life still goes on wherever you are, opportunities are fair to everybody, catch your one and work hard on it. ““If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door” ? Milton Berle
Yesterday, Bob and I drove to Santa Babara for some errands, and I was wearing this reversible top from this Chinese designer’s collection. Each of her designs can be worn with 2 faces — how fun, and I really wish there were more kid’s clothing with this tech too! If you know what I mean. 🙂

I love the look!
I can’t imagine what it feels like to move to a country on the other side of the world. My hubby and I moved to a new State 6 years ago and it was a bit scary. I think those that choose to leave their home countries and move here to the US are very brave…I couldn’t do it. (^_^)
The concept is truly interesting! Even more in such a basic piece.

I am really happy and proud of you girls!! I myself also left HK and went to the US for studying when I was 15. Although I’m now having my family back in Hong Kong, I am still very happy to see Asians being successful out of their home town 🙂 keep up the good work 🙂
I just wanted to say a huge congratulations on winning the Vanity Fair International Best Dressed award and your feature on Who What Wear! I cannot believe I hadn’t found your blog prior to this! Honestly, I’m speechless. Keep up the all inspiring work Hallie. You have impeccable style.
I can’t imagine up-rooting to go to the other side of the world either but wouldn’t it be an amazing adventure! I utterly respect those who do it.
I love the reversible top! I’m with you on bringing them out in a kids range!

Wow! looks good and in the recession is a brilliant money saver too!
You look dashingly divine! I adore midi skirts, both full & straight. I checked out the Jia Collection site & it is one that I have bookmarked – her clothes {I’m drooling over her reversible dresses} are lovely & being able to choose what side to wear is a whimsical idea! Cudos to Jia – she is adorable.com!
I found your blog through Chictopia – so glad I stumbled upon you!
