Couple days ago, I received an email from one of my readers; besides giving me all her nice compliments about my blog, she also told me that she loves me always trying something new with something old….I really appreciate her kind words.
That is something I always learned from my mom. My family was kind of poor when I was a little girl, so my mom used to try her best to re-cycle to make money, or make old things look new to save money. I remember one time she knitted a flower over a hole ripped in one of my pants, and made them look new and so unique, and made the other rich girls in my class so jealous! Although right now I am blessed to have a pretty decent life, I am still learning from my mom from that lifestyle; plus, it’s really satisfying when you can make some old stuff look new and good again!
Cropped Pink Jacket: Target (old, similar here)
Plaid Red Pants: ASOS (old, similar here)
Cream Sweater: Joie(old, similar here and here)
Rockstud Shoes: Valentino (here, here and here)
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim
Beautiful look, love those pants!

I absolutely love this look!
I can totally relate to what you’re saying. Once as a kid, I ripped a pair of jeans and my mom used another old pair and made a denim heart patch to cover the rip…instant custom jeans. I’ve carried those types of lessons that I’ve learned from not just from my mom but my grandmother and now I sew a refashion anything I can get my hands on. From dog toys for my little dog to even jeans from my husband (^_^)
love the shoes.

这套妆扮很喜庆啊!
旧衣新穿需要像你这样的搭配功力,搭好了会有惊喜,不过我通常更喜欢新衣,喜新厌旧型,呵呵~~~
