Winter Layers: Dress Over Jeans

HallieDaily Winter Day Layers in Reiss Coat & JBrand Jeans_5Many friends have asked me why I didn’t go to NYFW this season, and I told them I don’t know what to wear in the cold weather! Indeed, living my entire life in some very warm cities, both in China and California (for example, I have never seen snow falling!), going to a cold area and having to dress like you fear nothing about the chill would be a big challenge for me, and I am not ready yet!

Let’s talk about today’s style, dress over jeans for the winter layering, very new to me, and I am not really sure about that, what do you think? Yea or nay?

  4. You’d be dressed for NYFW in this outfit if you add a big scarf around neck (may be a fur lined hat, too), a pair of fleece tights under jeans and a long sleeve heat tech thermo under dress. There’s really nothing more you can add to keep warm. Just keep walking briskly. This is the only way I find that can wall off the cold. Once you stop, the chill comes roaring back.

  12. I’m from Illinois. We layer. We start with a cami, then add a button up (or turtleneck, etc), then a sweater, and then a puffer jacket. Find a flattering puffer jacket and maybe add a belt. We use super thin (but warm) leggings and then jeans. OR let your legs suffer and jeans then boots.

    Lots of girls where infinity scarfs now. You will need a heavy wool scarf in the midwest though. Wear contacts if you need glasses during the winter. Your scarf will make your glasses fog up. Bring leather gloves and if they have the touch fingers that’s better because you don’t want to take your gloves off when it’s really cold out. You will also need a hat so don’t do anything really fancy to your hair, there is no point.

  16. 80%的羊毛含量, 质感很不错, 不是特别软的那种, 也不硬, 我穿除了袖子长点(因为我手短), 其他我都很满意. 是浅驼色, 象你说的, 更适合黄种人的皮肤. 我穿S号, 和ZARA家一样, 上衣外套都S号. 希望能帮到.
