Weekend for us means Church and movies.

Also, I like to read emails that some of you send me, too!  I am so sorry that I couldn’t reply every of you.  Last Weekend, I received one email from a reader, who told me that she also has her own blog and asked me how to expand the blog.  I have a lot to say about this topic, but I seriously don’t know where to start.  Being a blogger really takes a LOT of time and energy, and also, endless studying: you seriously have to learn a lot of things when you are building your own website (Hello! SEO and all kinds of code, why some websites loading fast but some don’t, and much, much more!)  Then you have to learn all kinds of social media, and how to deal with brand relationships, and do you have a good photographer?  If don’t, do you have people around who can take your pictures when you need to?  And do you have an eye-catching image or voice?…If you don’t have a team behind you to support you, you better be prepared work up a sweat and start to Google “How to….” and learn and try, then fail and try again like there is no tomorrow.

I know this is sounds too negative; everyone can write a blog, but not everyone will become “Big”.  I have already seen many of my blogger friends disappear who started blogging about the same time as me.  So, if you have something you want to say and ideas to share, go for it, but just know it can be a hard and demanding path.  But if after trying for years, and you still couldn’t figure a way up to become “Big,” where your blog can support your living….my advice: it’s time to think of quitting blogging as a business.  Of course, you can keep blogging whenever you have time as a hobby, without the pressure of trying to make it pay.
