Beauty Review: Smashbox Matt Lip Colors, via: HallieDaily[/column][/column-group]

I used to wear bold red lips, but in the Summer, I tend to go with everything light, light make-up, and “barely there”  lip colors.  So the other day, when I tried on this Smashbox Matt liquid Lipstick (“Always on”), Red Bear gave me a big hug and a lovely kiss. “Mommy, you look so different today!  You look extra pretty, I wish you can be like that everyday!” he said. Trust me, Red Bear is such a “tough” boy, it’s hard for him to really give me a true compliment, so that one really melted my heart.  Thanks to red bold lips!

Back to these Smashbox Matt Liquid Lipsticks — I like almost every color of them.  They are lightweight, not drying, comfortable, and very fresh-looking.

Beauty Review: LUMA Brush, via: HallieDaily[/column][/column-group]

Luma Brush is a very impressive product; that’s what I told my husband that first night I used it.  It’s a hair straightening tool; I didn’t believe the comb-lookalike tool can make my hair really straight, but I was wrong.  My hair did get straight, and very fast, too!  The very first time I tried it, even my husband noticed that it straightened my hair in literally a minute or two, just by “brushing” my hair with the tool.  Easy to use!

BUT: as you might see from this picture, my hair got straight, but NOT “silky straight.”  I have thick, naturally wavy and “easy to frizz” hair, and the tool made the hair straight, but also “big” and didn’t look as neat and silky as I wish.  I still think this is an “amazing” tool, though.  I just wish I could have naturally thin and fine hair!  (But my husband tells me, if I had straight hair like most Chinese girls, then I would miss my wavy hair — and he’s probably right.  What’s a girl to do?)

Keep reading below and you will know why I like to use it as a hair styling “primer” tool.

[column]Beauty Review, T3 Singlepass Luxe, via: HallieDaily[/column][/column-group]

I have always liked to have a straightening tool for my hair, because often I like to straighten the root of hair, get rid of the frizziness, and keep the rest of the waves.  So I always appreciate any hair stylist who can curl my hair before blow-straightening it.  It takes a double job, but the result is so much better.

I really like this T3 Singlepass Luxe (also here) 3-in-1 tool for straight /curl /wavy hair.  I used to bring a straightener and curling iron with me when traveling.  Now, thinking that I will only need this one inside my luggage makes me really happy!  Really!

But again, as I said in my last review about the Luma Brush, my hair looks so much better when I have time to  blow-dry-straighten first, then curl!  So I really love this combination : use Luma Brush to straighten my hair first, then use T3 Singlepass Luxe for a silky touch and curl.

(P.S I was using the T3 Singlepass Luxe only to curl my hair in the picture above)
