L.A. Dining Out: A Seafood Feast

My dining out choices are usually kind of limited, because the rest of my family are vegans.  Naturally, we mostly go to vegetarian-friendly restaurants when we dine out, so everyone can find something to eat.  Having been born and raised in China, I’m used to having lots of vegetables for a meal — but I also enjoy other dishes, especially fresh seafood.

Thanks to L.A. being a real international city, with so many varied cultures and food styles, it is always easy to find one restaurant that suits all our tastes.

But recently I had a real treat when I was invited by a friend to dinner, and my vegan son and husband could not come along.  I was free to dine anywhere!  So we went to a new seafood restaurant near the famous Beverly Center.  It’s called C.O.D. Seafood House & Raw Bar (address: 8408 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles, California 90048 / phone: 323-658-9188).

The food was all so delicious!  The seafood was so fresh, with a real authentic Asian twist — or maybe it is like genuine Chinese seafood with a California twist.  However you say it, it really works!   The interior decor is lovely and upscale, and the spiced salted crab (sorry, I forgot what they called this dish) was a must-have! C.O.D. is probably my favorite seafood restaurant in LA, so far!
