(French) Country Style — A Day in Agua Dulce

We made another enjoyable day-trip last week, this time to the ranching community of Agua Dulce. It is just a 35-minute drive north-east from our home to there. We stopped a small and interesting neighborhood restaurant for breakfast and coffee, called The Cowboy Tavern. It is actually two “sister” restaurants under the same roof, “Home Made Restaurant” provides the breakfast menu (we loved our food, not fancy, but so good!), and the Cowboy Tavern menu is for dinner. Then we re-discovered Agua Dulce Winery, which we visited a couple years back. This time we spent more time, and wandered around and enjoyed the weather and the farm life there. Such fun!

We had no real destination, so I turned off the GPS, and we ended up on a long “dead end” country road, with a few ranches along it. There were many horses basking in the sun. The weather was super nice and we really enjoyed our quiet little country-side getaway.

I was wearing a dress from here, also these are my favorite travel espadrilles shoes lately, the wedges are high enough for looking good with any travel outfit and they still allow walking around comfortably. Unfortunately the same style has sold out, but I also have these and loving them!

See my other (French style) picks for your next country-side getaway.
