It’s been a while since last I talked about my beauty favorites. Recently people have been asking me how do I dye my hair, how do I keep fit, and what daily vitamins am I taking?
Today I decided to give out some of my “little bit of this and that secrets.”
The fact is that I do like to eat, especially when working in front of the computer or reading; I like to keep a lots of snacks around me. But I choose these snacks carefully — dried Jujube (date) is one of my favorites. You can find them in all kinds of Korean markets. According to Foodfacts: “Jujube may not have a large amount of any one nutrient, but it contains a wide array of different ones, including magnesium, potassium, copper, niacin, calcium, manganese, phosphorus, and iron. They contain 20 times more vitamin C than any citrus fruit, strengthening the immune system and fighting infections, which may be why they’ve been used medicinally for millennia in many cultures, as a tea for sore throat, for example.”
Recently I been doing eye lash extensions. The girl who did my eye lashes said my lashes are really thin and weak, so she suggest for me to take some hair/skin/nails vitamins to make the time period extensions/ “fill ins” longer. I took all kinds of vitamin before, on and off. Then I found this Natrol Biotin tablets in our local Costco store. I like that it can dissolve in the mouth, and tastes so good that I really want to eat them every day, not like other vitamins I took before! Those were 3 big tablets/day; it was not that terrible, but I just didn’t enjoy it. Now I feel my nails are getting stronger (that’s the most obviously part can I can be aware of improvement), and I do feel having more energy and less stress after a few weeks.
Currently on my nails: Topshop’s Matte Nails in Blush (I found it in the store in The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, but I can’t find it online).
I recently just bought this Dior Eyeliner and Chanel Lip Matt Gloss. I particularly ike the Dior Eyeliner because it comes with a soft but short brush head, make doing “cat eye” liner easier to control.
Chanel Reverie Parisenne Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip color is one of their new products this season, that’s what the Nordstrom saleslady told me. Matte and elegant, the neutral color is perfect for the Spring/summer.
Has anybody ever tried on Glossier‘s products? I was given for some of their products to try, and I really love the Moisturizing Moon Mask. And the Balm Dotcom is my favorite — like that it can be applied on lips, hands, and whatever skin you feel is getting dry and needs it. It’s so good that I really want to keep them everywhere around me.
My last secret for the day is my “gray hair savior” — yes, starting to see gray hairs coming, for which I like to thank Red Bear. He brings joy, but sometimes stress, too! The pink box, I think it’s called Bigen Speed, its made in Thailand. I found it a couple years ago in the Korean market near our house, for less than $10 a box. It only takes 10 minutes each time applying, and the result is impressive to me and the coverage is really good! It’s have been saving me a lot of $$ and time, because I don’t have to go to a hair salon to get a good dye job.
Also, my tips for stay-home hair dying:
1. Always read and follow the instruction.
2. Always do a test first, and see if you get an allergic reaction with the products.
3. I cut out a big plastic bag to put over my head and cover my body from neck to arms when applying the products.
4. Applied some body/face oil around your face/neck/body and any other body part you think might get touch with the product — makes clean-up quick and easy.
5. Always wear gloves (I believe all of this related products all come with a one-time-use gloves)
That’s all for today — stay healthy, stay beautiful, stay happy!
