I don’t look down my nose at a simple plain tee. A good quality, perfect fit one helps me in many cases when I don’t know what to pair with a statement skirt or pants. Not every tee will do the trick, though. Too loose would look too relaxed, while too tight might be uncomfortable. This one I am wearing today was from Calvin Klein that I bought a few years ago from Costco at an incredible price. When choosing the right tee, the only way to be sure is to try them on; different brands fit and hang differently on different people.

It’s printed with a tonal-red, pink and green floral motif, and falls in a knife-pleated A-line shape to the knee. I tucked in a slim-fitting top to achieve a retro-inspired silhouette. (FYI, the skirt runs very small; you might want to consider at least 1 or 2 sizes up).

Remember in this post, I had a wishlist for these Prada bow shoes? I love them so much and I had to take them both. High heels are out this season, and that’s a good excuse I gave to myself. (Although my Hubby says high heels will be “in” forever.)
