I shouldn’t talk about the L.A. winter that much now, but what to wear during the L.A. winter time is always a big question for me. Mostly we just need a light jacket or vest, and in my case, my most frequent “real” winter outfit is a comfy oversized sweatshirt!
I am styling some of my recent under $100 casual piece “finds,” all happily purchased from Urban Outfitters (see our last post with them here). Let me know, which look do you like the most?
Look 1: Textured Sweater Vest + High-waisted Cowboy jeans
I like how this sweater vest is crafted from recycled materials and a wool blend. The v-neckline and those buttons on the front give me the feeling of going back to my college campus!
I normally like jeans that sit above my ankles, but I like the length of this pair. The jeans lay nicely around my shoes, and that gives the look an effortless chic touch. FYI, I am 5’3 and am wearing these jeans in size 25.
Look 2: Overdyed Sweatshirt + New Balance 574+ Platform Sneakers
Who doesn’t like an easy pullover sweatshirt? This one comes in my favorite color — pink! It’s so soft and comfortable, and I am thinking also to get the same style, but in the color green, as well!
I have been hunting for platform sneakers, and these New Balance 574 platforms fit every category of my needs and desires — comfortable, make me look tall, and look good with jeans, sweatpants, and other pants, too!
Look 3:Cable Knit Sweater Vest that goes with (almost) everything
Playing with layers in the transitional L.A. weather is tough, but I like how this sweater vest gives our basic striped tee look a nice lift. The textured cable knit makes the look super fun and not so boring!
