My Current Favorite Lips Make Up : The Matte Lips

Some people can pull off a true creamy / nude tone lip look like they own it, but I just can’t.  I feel like I look sick when I don’t do any lip colors or if I try the creamy nude tone.  But on the other hand, the oily / ultra-glossy lip colors look very unnatural on me.  So for my personal favorite, I almost always go for matte lips.  Especially when I have a photo shoot that day, applying a complementary matte-lip color always adds some good flavor on the outfit photos.  And I don’t need to apply lip-liner when I use matte lipstick, which saves me some time in the morning.

Here are some of the matte lipsticks I have been using lately, I like them all, but keep reading and find out which one is my favorite . . .  so far. Beauty is an endless quest, isn’t it?

I used bareMinerals “Fire Matte” in this picture.  It applied smoothly and felt light and feathery, like you weren’t wearing lipstick at all. It didn’t dry my lips out as many matte liquid lipsticks tend to do.

In the above picture, I used the Lancôme L’ABSOLU ROUGE “Matte Finish, 193 Souvenir. The color is so vibrant and moist at the same time .

I used the Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick “Bawse “,

It’s very buttery, has a beautiful matte finish, very rich and looks very nice on the picture, but I didn’t like that every time I have to clean my teeth after I applied it. And it quite dried my lips.

I used BURBERRY Liquid Lip Velvet “Oxblood” on the above look.  I typically love everything from Burberry, very classic and never really chasing the trends, but often setting the trend.  This one leaves lips incredibly soft, which was a very unexpected sensation. I got gifted 3 colors — too bad all the colors seemed too dark for my skin tone, but I definitely will buy some different colors.

Now, guess which lipstick is in my make up bag and with me to everywhere, everyday now? The bareMinerals Statement(TM) Matte Liquid Lipcolor! It isn’t heavy or tacky.  It feels light and moisturizes, but still lasts pretty long. But mostly i just love the colors! They are sophisticated, and rich.
