I remember many years ago, my first designer X high street collaboration purchase was Lavin x H&M; that was in the earliest year of blogging. I rushed to stores to hunt for the collection after I heard the news and didn’t have much luck, but I kept going and finally got a couple pieces (from some other people’s returns, I guess!). I was so HAPPY at that time!
My blogging life has changed a lot since then. I still love all the collaborations between premier designers and high street brands/stores, but I learned to take it easy. If items are available and easy to get, then I will go for it. And now I also believe: there is always some new and better collection coming in the near future & worth to wait for.
OK, long story short (maybe it’s too late for that!), today I am styling the new Kika Vargas for Target Collection that just hit the stores. Kika Vargas is one of my favorite brands; see me in their clothing here . Kika Vargas for Target collection has all the icon look and style touches the Kika Vargas brand carries. I am not a fan of some of the fabric used (I always prefer natural fibers or blends), but of course, with the price point, I have nothing to complain about this collection. Most of the styles have sold out online, I got my hands on this yellow floral dress & jacket set; I like the fit and pattern a lot. Even my husband commented he really likes the look.
This black dress and the balloon sleeve coat are also from the collection; the coat is made of cotton blend, which I always like, and all the details are pretty lovely and well-made.
Today’s bag and shoes are newly gifted from a Peruvian brand, Butrich — such fun designs! I showed these shoes and bag in my Instagram(@halliedaily)story, and I have people ask me what dress would go well with them. I would say they go with most dresses, from LBD to floral dresses: they make every outfit pop, and they remind me the big holidays are just around the corner — it’s time to get ready for the holiday glam! Here I am also wearing earrings by Zara, and the satin hair scrunchie is from Amazon.
