I love to play with colors and accessories in Summer looks. I am always on the hunt for nice fun colored dresses & accessories. Budget-friendly is a bonus!
We all have our own preferences when choosing colors to wear, but I think we should be open to change. I used to not love wearing green myself — I thought this color doesn’t suit my skin tone, and it made my skin look pallid and “ill.” But as I “age gracefully,” my style has become more confident and I am always seeking to try some change or fashion challenge. I have realized that green actually comes with so many different shades, and green itself is such a popular color for many reasons, including its association with nature.
The moment I laid my eyes on this green linen dress, I fell in love. It’s an easy cut, flowing design, but so much elegance comes with it. Also, it comes in regular, tall, and petite lengths, so there should be something to fit all of us. It is a perfect dress for any Summer day and many social occasions.
These raffia-look hat, bag, and sandals are my latest budget-friendly hunts. Hat is from H&M, the same style has sold out, but I found a few similar options here and here. These sandals are from Target — surprising comfortable (BTW, I also bought this pair of raffia sandals in the same order, another satisfying purchase), together with a matched raffia-look bag from Madewell. I am ready to wear this black and green combination look to the market, the beach, a party, or a dinner.
I am also wearing Zara necklace (You can see me wearing this necklace in the post here with another Summer linen set) and J.Crew earrings. Both are sold out, sadly, but I just added this green seashell jade statement necklace and these gold fishbone earrings to my shopping list. I think they will look so chic with this dress, too.
