Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

My mom made it possible for me to be who I am. She was everything: hard worker, good daughter and loving mom. She sewed, she cooked, she worked at a chemical plant at night and took care of our sick grandma and my younger sister and me during the day. She was plenty smart, but she didn’t have a chance to go to college because of the family financial situation, but she had so many self-taught skills! I think her greatest gift was encouraging me to find my own person and independence. I miss my mom and I love her so much!

Now I am a mom, and I want to do the best I can, too.
