I don’t remember when was the last time I wore a puffer coat, but I remember I mostly just wear a puffer coat whenever I am in a place with snow.
So, yep, I have to say I don’t have many good ways to style a puffer coat, and when I need to wear one, I normally will add socks, boots, scarf, hat — not for the look, but for the warmth. Keep in mind, my whole family was born in raised in really warm places, so cold is a shock to our systems!
I get critical comments when I wear my wool coats, with many layers over a skirt/dress, but with shoes without socks — I got it, and that’s how I feel when I need to wear a puffer coat, no joke! Just cover up! . . . I am no fan of cold weather, and I do bulk my clothes up heavily when it’s really, really cold outside. And, yes, most of my winter looks that I show here in my blog are based on the weather in Los Angeles (where we believe we will freeze when the thermometer dips below 60-F or so). We love to visit snow places, to ski or other snow sports, but it would be a hard adjustment for us to live in such a cold place. I do hope you can you understand this.
Sharing my all-black puffer coat looks today, when our temperature just hit below 58F. I am going to zip up my coat, wear double leggings, winter wool socks, ear muffs, and wool hat, and, of course, a pair of gloves, too, next time I see the snow. It didn’t happen in 2020, but hopefully in 2021, when travel is OK again.
