Ladylike & pastel styles are the “trends” that not many people talk about lately. But I like them anyway(see my other favorite pastel looks here and here), as I always follow this guide: your personal style is what makes you feel beautiful and confident, and it’s not what everybody else thinks is “in” or not.
How do I style ladylike and pastel together? In today’s look, let me expand my rules a bit:
1. Don’t be afraid of florals or patterns; the right amount of patterns will give the look an interesting touch and a sweet lift.
2. Keep the pastel colors in a soft “family group,” like the light lavender and light sage and light pink I have in today’s look. All the color shades are in the light and washed range, so that they won’t look like they “conflict” with each others, or that one is stronger than the others.
3. Wearing heels instead of flats or sneakers. This might be too “conservative” to some people, but for me, wearing heels, even a little bit of kitten heels, sure gives me more confidence and looks more elegant than flats or sneakers.
4.Keep the silhouette sleek and chic, avoid a baggy fit on the bottom, and ripped jeans are definitely a “no, no” for a lady-like look in my dictionary.
