Couple days ago, I was chatting with a friend in China, she said she is happy that I am living a non-stress life right now. I said, yes, but on the other hand, I don’t have many friends and family here, and almost everyday life is the same. And for the weekend, normally it is like breakfast outside, show-seeing (if there is any for the kids), having dinner with Red Bear’s Grandpa, garden work, Church….
But last Saturday night was definitely a wonderful night for me. With my dearest husband’s full support, I got to attend an event held by Everlane, and had the honor of meeting other Los Angeles-based bloggers, then tasted yummy vegetarian food in California Vegan Cafe. i echo you. living abroad can get a little lonely & life can be a little mundane at times. after 3.5 years being friendless in a foreign land, i kinda like being left alone. no peer pressure. no social pressure. in fact, now i feel awkward when i’m surrounded by people i know.
it’s great that your social life is picking up with more & more bloggers events to attend 😀 sometime is refreshing to break our routine a little. RB is ever so cute and I so want your cat-face pumps!!! xoxo

Well, i guess that life can become boring when you’re doing the same things every day, but seriously I’d take this over studying all day from morning till night. At least, you can sit and just…sit! And I’m sure that you’ve been through a lot to succeed and be able to do just that. And after all, you have a perfect family (or an almost perfect -you need a daughter, too hahahah, just kidding :P), and you’re a perfect mommy 🙂 But when blogging meetups come up it’s even better! 😀 I’d really like to attend such an even some time, it looks cool! And the restaurant you went afterwards is even more amazing, look at these lights wow! So weird and pretty… Hahha, I love your ‘silly’ game with my baby Red Bear <3 He is the cutest <3 😀 And he's growing up fast!

Making friends take a lot of time, work and just plain luck to meet people who both just ‘click’! I understand how you feel since I move about every five years and I find it exhausting to adjust to new environment, make new friends but also keep up with old ones from the past. But I find blogging is so useful to meet new people who share a common interest with you.
Hope you do feel more settled down and find a good circle of friends wherever you go, Hallie!
