Lately, What I Wore: Summer Favorites + A Little Early Fall Style

We’re technically heading into fall, but here in LA, summer clearly hasn’t gotten the memo yet. After weeks of triple-digit temperatures, I’m more than ready for cooler mornings, layers, and, most importantly, the real Autumn season!

In the meantime, my outfits lately have been a little bit of everything: easy summer looks, new accessories I can’t stop wearing, pickleball days with my son, and a few early Fall pieces I’m already sneaking into the rotation.

Here’s a little catch up on what I’ve been wearing lately.

An All-White Moment

There’s this white on white look that I’ve been loving lately.

I paired a white satin blazer with white barrel-leg pants, and I love the mix of the slightly dressier satin with the more relaxed shape of the pants. It feels polished without trying too hard, exactly the kind of outfit I’m drawn to right now.

I finished the look with a suede mini bag, which adds just enough texture and a little hint of fall to all the white. It’s such an easy way to start transitioning a summer look into the new season without actually dressing for fall weather yet.

Because let’s be real…LA is still not ready for sweaters, but I’m definitely ready for fall accessories.

Easy Summer Outfits

Summer dressing for me is always about keeping things simple, especially when LA gets really hot. Lightweight pieces, relaxed silhouettes, comfortable shoes, and outfits that don’t require too much thinking have been my uniform lately.

I’ve also been loving pieces that can transition into fall instead of buying things that only work for one season. A simple tank or tee now can easily go under a cardigan, blazer, or sweater on the shoulder for that effortless look

Speaking of ribbed tees, I found one for around $12–$15 that I liked so much, I bought it in almost every color. The fit and cut are so good, it holds its shape after washing, and it works just as well on its own as it does layered under something later. And shoutout to these sweatpants too, I’m 5’3” and the length is perfect!

My New Favorite Bag + Shoes Combo

You know when you find a bag-and-shoe combination that suddenly seems to work with everything in your closet?

That’s me right now.

I’ve been wearing this combination with dresses, denim, trousers, and even some of my more casual looks. They instantly make a simple outfit feel a little more polished without making it feel too dressed up.

Consider this your warning: you’re going to see this bag and these shoes on repeat all fall.

And I’m completely okay with that.

Pretending It’s Trench Season in LA

Early fall—or at least, pretending it’s early fall in LA. 😂

We just made it through triple-digit weather, but the minute the temperature drops even a little, my trench coats come out.

A trench has always been one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. Throw one over a T-shirt and jeans and suddenly the whole outfit looks pulled together. Wear it over trousers, a dress, or even sneakers and it works just as well.

I’ve been putting together my little Early Fall Trench Capsule, and it reminded me why I never get tired of them. Classic, effortless and endlessly wearable.

Are you a trench lover too?

Pickleball Style — with My Favorite Partner

Pickleball has officially become part of my wardrobe lately too!

I started playing this year, and now somehow there are pickleball outfits, shoes and visors taking up more and more space in my closet. Funny how that happens.

One of my favorite parts, though, is getting to be active alongside my son. Between his kickboxing and my pickleball, our schedules can be busy, so I love any chance we get to do something active together.

And yes, I still want my pickleball outfit to be cute. Athletic performance is important…but so is the outfit.

And Now…Pointed-Toe Flats

Apparently my shoe personality has two sides right now: fashion sneakers and pointed-toe flats.

And I love them both.

I recently found this pair of pointed-toe flats that goes with almost everything—pants, jeans, and even dresses. I love how classic and timeless the design feels, and I already know I’ll be reaching for them on repeat for many seasons to come.

I especially love pointed flats with ankle-length pants, relaxed jeans, or a simple dress. They give you that little bit of polish you’d get from a heel without actually having to wear one.

And one more thing: who else is still a watch person? I know we check the time on our phones all day, but there’s just something about a classic watch that completes an outfit. I don’t think I’ll ever give mine up.

This Michael Kors watch is such a cute little piece. I like wearing it almost like a bracelet and layering it with my other bracelets and cuffs. It adds just the right little finishing touch—and I have a feeling you’ll be seeing this one on repeat, too. Bag is also from Michael Kors.

Slowly Making My Way Into Fall

So that’s pretty much where my closet is right now: one foot still in summer and the other already reaching for fall.

There are still plenty of lightweight summer outfits happening around here, but I’m slowly bringing back my trench coats, richer textures, sneakers, flats and all those easy layering pieces I’ve missed.

LA may not be ready for fall yet…

but my closet definitely is.

And if the temperature drops below 90°F? You already know I’m calling that trench weather.
