This is one of 3 items I recently brought back to California from my old closet in China. I still remember the reason why I bought it. I wasn’t good at “office style” at work about 10 years ago; I dressed very Hippie or Romantic, you know, maybe not really hippie or romantic, but often something that shouldn’t have been worn to the office…haha… So one day, my boss asked me to get some blazers and leave them in the office, so that I can wear it while I working in the office, using the blazers to cover up my “inappropriate” clothes. I really hated plaid blazers at that time, so I got this floral blazer. You know, floral is so huge right now, that’s why I brought this blazer back to the U.S with me. And another example of the famous law: fashion recycles!
And to answer some questions from several of my readers: where did I buy these items in China, like the bag here and here, and this blazer? They were all hunted from some small stores and shops in the streets of the city I lived in China. So, in other words — they are “no-name brands”! Or, to put it more positively, they are “limited editions.”
Wearing: Vintage Floral Blazer(thinking of to get this one now),H&M shirt(similar here), ASOS slim cropped pants,
Nine West Sandals(old, this one is cute!), Prada Sunglasses, Michael Kors Clutch,
Bracelet: ASOS, H&M, Forever21, Lovebeads2011(c/0), Pearl ring: gifted by my husband. Nails: Essie Navigate her
Nice Blazer
SO pretty! Love the blazer!
You’re so funny, didn’t we all go through phases in our lives? At least you can still combine the blazer with a modern outfit. I went through a phase as a “goth” where I listened to The Cure and dressed all in black, and then, my “Metallica-phase”. Not sure how I could possibly integrate a denim jacket full of pins and badges and bad names into my wardrobe now:)
Regarding Fashion recycle law, i think it is very satisfying when you find new ways to wear you old clothes.I love your floral jacket and your style. I recently wore an Alaia dress I had not in 20 years and it looked fresh!!

Yeah, of course it’s limited edition. You can’t find so beautiful pieces in the big chain stores. It’s a gorgeous blazer and the story that it holds makes it so much more special! I love it! And it looks amazing with the whole outfit! Your shoes are adorable! Many many kisses, Hal! <3 And of course, I hope May will be awesome for you and your little Bear <3
no branded but at least is comfortable! Floral for this season. keke
Love, love, love everything about this outfit, especially the blazer!
thanks for your lovely comment. you look awesome. love the floral blazer. i would love to see you in that zara skirt 🙂

I love that your old blazer looks refreshed worn with two other current trends–pink pants and collared shirt buttoned all the way up. So pretty!
this blazer is surely suit your adorable style! love it head to toe. 🙂
Nice… Fashion recycling is saving us to buy new trends, sometimes we have kept pieces in the corners of our closet — then 1 day realized its a old – new trend resufacing again.. Btw love the blazer!! So cute print and colours..
What a beautiful ensemble! Love the floral late 50’s inspired print and the preppy chic look you’ve created my sweety!
Hugs!
第一眼就相中那双ninewest的鞋,我也差点买了哈,最后入手的是另一双橙红色的,呵呵。
另外,我也有件基本类同的花花九分袖小西装,纯棉,挺舒服滴~:)
