When doing face make-up, I am basically a minimalist. I apply make-up less in the Summer, and much less while traveling on warm summer days.
Last week, on the 1st day of Summer 2024, my husband and I made a quick trip to Carlsbad, a beautiful beach town just north of San Diego, for a tequila tasting and food pairing event, and this is the look I had for the night, and below are the make-up products that were inside my make-up bag.
1. Sweed Beauty Lash Lift Mascara
I like it — lightweight, flexible, and the mini-brush leaves lashes glossy and helps them to hold a curl. According to the brand, it is water-resistant, but not waterproof , but I find it does not smudge and is easy to wash off.
4.Lancome color palette & L’Absolu Rouge Intimatte Lipstick (I am using 274 here)
I like the color palette; not only can it be used as eye shadow, but also as highlights wherever I want. That matte lipstick is my current favorite matte lipstick, doesn’t dry my lips and stays the whole night. (You can see the original post here).
5.Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This is my favorite liquid eye liner, also many of my friends and their family members like it. It goes on smoothly without skipping, smudging, or pulling, and lasts all day.
6.Alleyoop Moisturizer Sunscreen
I really love this all-in-1 foundation, sunscreen, and serum — it gives light but beautiful coverage, and comes with a naturally healthy glow. The only complaint I have with this product is its tube leaks easily. I got a mess in my gym bag from it, and after that, I always make sure to tighten the cap and use a shower cap or sandwich bag to wrap it around when traveling, just in case. But the product itself is really great, so I still recommend it.
7.It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Concealer and Foundation Brush
I like that this brush comes in a retractable form. It is a 2-in-1 brush that does the work for me to apply my eye shadow and blush.
8.Urban Decay Mini Naked Eyeshadow Palette
I like this mini-size, and each shade has a blendable, creamy texture. I like that the color is easy to apply and long-lasting.
