My Nighttime Skincare Routine

February and March in Los Angeles are windy and dry, and I change my skincare routine & products based on the weather and my skin condition.  I am sharing my nighttime skincare routine for the early Spring with you.

Step 1: Remove Your Makeup and clean up

Sleeping in your makeup is a cardinal skincare sin.  No matter how late I get home and how tired I feel before bed, I always remove my make-up and do a whole clean up.

I recently have been using this Herbal-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water .  I like that it is mild, with herbal water that effectively cleanses skin and removes makeup without rubbing, rinsing, or scrubbing.

Step 2: Exfoliating

I am currently using: Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion.  A Nordstrom skincare expert recommended this product to me when I was in the store a few weeks ago.  “A highly-efficacious, exfoliating formula to refine the look of your skin texture,” she said.  I only use this product 2-3 times a week, and it’s been 2 weeks so far.  It’s hard to tell the big change yet, but I like that it doesn’t irritate my skin. Seems to clarify my skin when used.

Step 3: Nourishing & Hydration Mask

I am a mask fan, and currently using:

Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask,

And I have to admit, I tried this product because I love avocados!  Hehehe . . . I am so glad I tried it, it is totally hydrating and makes my skin so soft after each use.  Love it.

Step 4: Eye Cream & Hydration Serum

Eye creams aren’t totally bogus, you just have to choose good ones — I like to use creams and serums like these as a form of preventative care; they’re beneficial because they provide the thin skin around your eyes with a targeted treatment.

I am currently using: Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado —- I like that the texture of this eye cream is so rich and creamy, but it does not make the eye area greasy.

I am currently also using: Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate Serum — It’s a powerful vitamin C serum formulated with even more vitamin C.  It helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Step 5: Moisturize

I always like to choose my moisturizer to hydrate my skin without clogging clog my pores.  I am currently using this Super Multi-Corrective Cream, it feels very soothing on the skin when I apply it.  It’s too early to know if it works like magic yet, but I like how my face feels after I apply it.
