When it comes to hair, my personal favorite style is always “air-dry” free style, with low bun or put a hat on. My natural hair is wavy and sometimes — when the weather is humid and on those rainy days — frizzy. So, normally I don’t bother to style my hair at all. But when the weather allows, like most of the dry Southern California weather, I do enjoy to style my hair with all my favorite hair styling tools. Today I am sharing my current favorite hair styling tools below:
I have have had this tool for many years, and I am always impressed by how amazing the results come out, even with my big, thick, and wavy hair. There are also a lot of great reviews online as well, and with the $57 price point, it is definitely worth keeping one in your bathroom. (P.S. Found this video about how to use the tool, and she does a GREAT job!!)
2. Dyson Airwrap Complete Styler
There was a lot of buzz online when this styler first came out on the market. First, the price is super high (over $500!), but it still sold out everywhere, and the waiting list is so long! Even my friends asked me if I knew any Dyson people and who get them one! But I don’t. I bought this one myself. My thinking was, “It’s a great tool, and the result is amazing, too! But I feel I can have many other tools and put them together to reach the same result, too!” So the feeling is a bit mixed for me; I like to use it and like the result, but whenever I think of the price, I feel regret that I bought it. Confused? Me, too!
3.Steampod – by L’Oréal Professionnel
This is another “crazy” purchase I have, with its price point over $300. But I was sold when I read, “This professional and high-tech steam straightening iron, allows for continuous steam to flow gently and efficiently through the hair fibers, repairing them as it styles, so that you may straighten or curl your hair quicker for a long-lasting result.” The truth? I have long hair, but I don’t see many dead ends on my hair, and the style does last long when I use this tool, so I guess the investment is worth it.
4. BIO IONIC Long Barrel Styler
When you have long hair like mine, you know one of the issues is that most of curling irons are too short to wrap all your hair in; so I was looking for a long wand curling iron, and I found this one. It does an amazing job by getting all my long hair in, and it works quick and lasts long. I don’t feel it damages my hair too much, and this is a big plus to me.
P.S. I used the Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer to style my hair in the first picture, and I think that’s the one tool that is suitable for girl’s everyday use.
