Yesterday, my husband & I were talking about how much we miss our summer vacation, and at the same time our son was working hard on his school work, more or less having to teach himself during this pandemic. We had been thinking about going to Hawaii again during the school summer vacation, but it looks like that plan is not going to happen for a while more.
“Let’s do a Hawaii vacation in our backyard,” my husband said. “We have a pool, we have birds, and we have good weather. “
So we made lemonade and brought out some fruits and cheese crackers, I changed to my swimsuit, and we sat and picnicked around the pool with beach towels and sunscreen on . . . and that’s how we do our own pool side entertaining! Oh, we even had our favorite playlist on!
I recently got these plates and this jug from Farfetch. I like that they are so stylish and colorful; they are just right to give our pool style an interesting and modern lift.
Thank you to Farfetch for working with us on this story, I also did an interview article with them today together with many other amazing people, check it out here!
P.S. The swimwear I wore today is also another favorite “on sale” purchase I made lately. I am planning to get more swimwear this year, and to have more stay-home entertaining parties.
I love it! Such a pretty spread! Vacationing at home doesn’t sound too bad of an idea (for now!)
Life is a Shoe
