Spring Weekend in L.A. with J.Crew

Last weekend, in collaboration with J.Crew, I hosted a style event in the J.Crew store in Century City, L.A. It was another beautiful day in L.A. Thanks to all our friends who came by and said, “Hi”!” It was great to see some old friends and meet new ones. And I would like to share some of the highlights and looks I styled when I was in the store with you today. There are also some honest reviews of some J.Crew’s new spring collection pieces by me.

P.S. L.A. still has an indoor mask mandate, and, of course, we followed the J.Crew store and city safety guidelines when shooting these pictures.

1. This is what I wore to the event, a classic denim shirt with a pair of chino pants and a striped blazer. Hat, jewelry, and shoes are also from J.Crew. These pants are one of their best selling pieces right now, and I totally love them! I am wearing a petite size, length and fit are just perfect.

2. I am loving the store decor — a lot of inspirations mix cozy and chic. I tried on a denim jumpsuit, and got so many compliments when people passed by.

3. These are 2 pairs of spring shoes that are displayed in the store. I love those cage sandals in the left picture; they are so comfortable to walk with, and I think this style will be seen everywhere for the coming Spring. I also love those green and beige combo sneakers in the right; they are also comfy, like all the other J.Crew sneakers, and I am obsessing with sneakers in green this season.

4. I love to play the “accessories game” with most of my looks — the hair claw, headband, and blue-light glasses all come in a matched tortoise, and I can tell that pair of croc-effect sandals will go so well with almost every one of my spring/summer looks.

5. I can’t pass by a pretty floral dress; this printed dress has the prettiest back details — made of cotton, and paired with a cotton hat and bag — it’s a perfect weekend or vacation look.

6. If you are not into floral, give this black dress a try. The cut-out details in the waist area are so fun, and it’s also made of cotton. It can be worn as a “daily wear” look by pairing with a pair of flat sandals or sneakers.

7. This is my personal favorite combo on the day — as I told you, I am so into these forest green tones this season, and these pants are so fun to wear. I like to just look at them! The light weight trench is perfect for the transition weather or travel — hard to wrinkle, and I love those big pockets!

8. A double breasted blazer is a Spring must-have, and this blazer style is one of my favorite items from J.Crew all season.  It can be worn to dress up or down, casual or formal.  And, hey, yes, I do love this style of pants!

9. When I saw this dress hanging on the rack, I immediately pulled it out and gave it a try. Those shoulder tie-bow details are super lovely. There is no lining in this dress, and I like it — very breathable but not too sheer or see-through.

Which look do you like the most? I also posted a video with all these looks in my Instagram, please come check it out here.
