Feels too hot to wear anything this week in L.A., and around half of the country. So we are calling all tank tops!
Here are 3 ways to style your tank top to show some skin, feel cool, but still remain appropriate.
Style 1: Wearing your tank top with you favorite skirt.
Here in outfit 1, I am pairing this tank top with a floral linen pencil skirt & a cute raffia bag. This tank top is a budget friendly find from Target, very light and breathable. I also tried out the color white, but decided to keep the black color only. White tops in light material can be hard to find if you are like me, and you don’t want a “see through” look.
Style 2: Wearing your tank top with cropped or cargo light weight pants.
If you are looking for a light weight colored tank top, I recommend Free People and Gap. I got these pink and peach tank tops from them; both come with a lot of good reviews. I like to wear colored tank tops with white pants — it’s summery and looks effortless. In outfit 1, I am wearing pants by Eileen Fisher, and in outfit 2, pants are from Banana Republic. Add your favorite sandals and statement accessories, and your outfit will stand out from the crowd.
And, if you are looking for a high quality tank top, I recommend the REISS knit tank top, well-fit and well-made, just add your favorite necklace to show your personality. Here I am also wearing these linen full length pants & cargo pants from Banana Republic.
Style 3: Pairing a tank top with shorts.
Not my personal favorite combo, especially when finished off with flip-flops. For me, such a combo might be comfortable, but not my personal style. I might wear a tank top / shorts combo at home, but you probably won’t see me in it out in public, not forever and ever. But, of course, as always, we wear what we want, and what makes us feel good, and some ladies pull this style off very well.
