There are many ways to express our love to ourselves and others.
Stop me if this sounds familiar to you: a heart shaped box of chocolates, a bunch of roses, and a candlelight dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day. While this may be the tradition, do women really want roses every year?
No matter how old we are or which part of the world we live in, we all have people we love, and we all enjoy being loved. For loving couples and for those who are still single but always know how to love themselves, this is the time to express your love for yourself and for others.
We all want our loved ones to have the best things in the world. It doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, but we want them to truly feel happy and surprised when they open our gifts. If we are single, we want to treat ourselves well too, because we still deserve to have a wonderful life without being in a relationship.

At the end of last year, Switch just launched The Ring Fit Adventure, a game that can be played between couples, among friend groups, or just by yourself. This game can save people from their limited dating options: watching movies, eating, and shopping. Not only is this game a lot of fun, it’s great workout, too. To play, you hold a steering wheel-sized ring and control the character on the screen as they fight monsters, explore the world, and collect treasure, all while striking a yoga pose or running in place. I’ve heard just 30 minutes of playing is enough to make you sweat.

Most of us spend less and less time reading every day. Instead of reading books, some just look at their phone every night before going to bed. But nothing can replace the lost feeling of reading a book in bed with a cup of a favorite, relaxing beverage, like warm milk or tea.
My personal favorite romance novel is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. It’s a wonderful book about passionate love between two people who aren’t meant to be together. If you don’t know Emily, you must know her sister Charlotte Bronte, the author of Jane Eyre. The Bronte sisters describe how to love, cherish every moment, and passionately embrace people we love. After almost 200 years, their attitude towards love is something we should strive to attain in this modern world.
