Yesterday,
And I laughed, and said, “At least you still have hope to grow older, but it’s hopeless for me to go back to your age and dress like a teenager again!”
So here is the question, do you have to be in a certain age to carry different style? What do you think?
I think no matter how old we are, being ourselves and always trying our best to look good is the key. Also, ” In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” —- Coco Chanel, my idol.
P.S. I have a little interview with Moda Mod, feel free to check them out here.

gorgeous look hallie
it’s funny because ten years ago I could never have imagined how I would dress now and I guess as we mature our tastes mature alongside, so I no longer want to dress like a teenager
Thankfifi
love that skirt!

I was so happy to see that you made vanity fair’s best dressed list. what an honor!! congrats.
I think you can dress more mature and ladylike at any age, but you shouldn’t dress like a teenager once you are not- it seems almost immature. Tell your teenage blogger that she can dress like you any day- fun, vibrant and fantastic Hallie!
Amazing outfit! Loved it <3
Love the outfit, but love more what you wrote…that happens to me all the time too! LOL! I do think that I was ALWAYS ladylike, but obviously, when that’s the case and you’re a teenager, your peers tend to be “hipper” than you. In my case, I knew, and was comfortable with, my personal style since I was very young. In fact, one day I took to the office a picture of me at the airport when I was about 8 or 9, and one co-worker said “Aww…look at your outfit, just like the one now, but smaller!” I cracked up because it was true. Sure, the silhouettes are updated now, but I was always a classic child and continue to be interested in classic pieces now as well.
Thank you for the flashback!

My teenager and I dress so much alike (meaning she steals all of my clothes) that we started a fashion and lifestyle site that chronicles trends on two generations. We would love to feature this post on our site!

I think that is such a cute compliment. I think dressing more ladylike and sophisticated comes with age. I know when I was a teen and in my early twenties I still wanted to dress like a surfer girl or grungy. Two styles I wouldn’t wear nowadays. I like dressing like a lady! I think you are someone to aspire to though. The way your wear clothes is impeccable Hallie! <3

You’re one that wore so many midi skirts and had me craving for it! LOL! You definitely style midi skirts so well.
I believe in dressing one’s age. I don’t think I can put myself to wear teenage kawaii dresses or skirts by now. But I also believe that as your life brought you through different stages, it built your confidence in dressing the style you want to carry. Confidence is definitely the key to bring out the style in oneself =)
